지난 4년 간 뉴질랜드 전문직 중 하나로 #물리치료사 안내를 해왔습니다. 뉴질랜드에서의 물리치료사 위상은 한국과 달라 그 보수나 처우도 다른데요, 익스트림 스포츠의 일상화, 사고로 다친 경우 뉴질랜드 거주자는 누구나 비자 불문하고 무료 치료할 수 있는 #ACC 제도 등의 제도적, 사회 인식적 기반 하에 저희 동네만 해도 일반 사설 물리치료실이 대여섯 군데가 될 정도입니다. 모두 개인 설립자들입니다.
뉴질랜드 물리치료사는 뉴질랜드 대학교의 #물리치료학과 4년 졸업 후 물리치료사협회 회원으로 가입 하시면서 자격이 생깁니다. 뉴질랜드에서 물리치료학과를 운영 중인 대학교는 북섬 오클랜드의 #AUT, 남섬 더니든의 #오타고대학교 두 곳에만 있습니다. 오타고대학교는 의대로 유명한 대학교로 150년 전통을 자랑하는 곳입니다. 최근 북섬 해밀턴의 국립기술대 윈텍에서도 물리치료학과가 생겼지만 국제학생은 입학하실 수 없습니다.
작년 2019년 1월, 저희 연어브로드 고객님께서 AUT 물리치료학과 학사 과정 공부를 시작하셨고, 다른 고객님께서는 오타고대학교에서 물리치료학과 석사과정 입학허가서를 받으셨는데 입학은 포기하신 일도 있었습니다. 아무래도 물리치료사협회 가입은 학사과정을 졸업하는 것이 정설이라 석사 과정 후 협회 가입 가능성에 대한 도전은 시도되지 못했습니다. AUT 물리치료학과 학생분은 2020년 현재 2학년에 재학 중이십니다. 학생분의 배우자분의 오픈워크비자도 계속 제공되고 있습니다.
레벨7, 학사 Bachelor 지만, 뉴질랜드 #부족직업군 에 속해 공부하시는 동안 #배우자 에게 #오픈워크비자 를 제공할 수 있고, 따라서 자녀가 있으신 경우, 뉴질랜드 #초중고학비무료 혜택도 받으실 수 있습니다. 졸업 후에는 3년 의 오픈 워크비자가 학생분 본인과 배우자에게 주어지고, 자녀분들 초중고 학비 무료 혜택 3년을 추가로 받으실 수 있습니다.
뉴질랜드는 협회에 회원으로 가입 ( #Registered ) 되면 그 신분과 취업 및 연봉이 보장이 되는데요, 교사 협회(유치원 교사 협회 포함), 간호사 협회, 회계사 협회 등이 그것이고 공통점은 모두 IELTS Academic overall 7 이 요구 된다는 것입니다.
뉴질랜드에서 #기술이민자 로서 당당하게 서려면 자격을 갖춘 전문가로 설 수 밖에 없습니다. 뉴질랜드 이민성에서 분류한 부족직업군의 전문직이야말로 이민을 생각한다면 반드시 고려해 보셔야 할 부분이죠. 진입 장벽이 높을 수록 진입 후 더욱 안전하겠고요.

2학년 부터 비정상적 기능, 물리치료학 평가, 임상 추론 원리, 증거 기본 실습, 그리고 광범위한 물리치료 기술을 배우게됩니다. 이로써 재활치료와 장애의 움직임과 기능, 연습 기본의 재활치료와 임상과학의 추론과 연구 방법을 이해하고 발전시키게 됩니다. 이 2 학년 동안 일주일의 물리치료 입상실습 관찰 기회가 주어지게 됩니다.
You’re introduced to the management of abnormal function and physiotherapy assessment, including clinical reasoning principles, evidence-based practice and a range of physiotherapeutic techniques. You develop an understanding of the rehabilitation of disorders of movement and function, exercise-based rehabilitation and clinical science reasoning and research methods.
You could also spend one week observing physiotherapy in practice.

3 학년에서는 좀 더 전문화된 접근과 치료 기술을 익히게 됩니다. 해서 더욱 광범위하고 복잡한 건강 문제에 익숙해지게 됩니다. 이는 보다 세분화된 접근과 심화 치료 전략, 상호 보완적이고 , 전문적이며 도덕적인 이해 하에 가능하게 됩니다.
3학년에는 2주의 보조 실습이 있습니다.
You develop more specific assessment and treatment skills, and become familiar with a wider range of complex health issues. This requires more detailed assessment and advanced treatment strategies, together with an understanding of reflective, professional and ethical practice.
You’ll also be provided with a two-week student assistantship.

The majority of the year is spent in a clinical centre, where you complete the approximately 1,000 hours of supervised physiotherapy practice experience required for registration. You also complete the Research Project paper.
